Frequently Asked Questions:

How long is the ride?

The river ride is 6 miles.

How long does it take?

The answer to this has so many variables, including how high the river is, how much you stop and weather you ride the edges or down the middle. It matters if you are riding seperate or tied up to friends. It matters if you are towing a cooler carrier or paddling vs floating. There is just no way for me to predict an accurate answer to this question.
There are lots of places to stop and play or have a lunch. How much you stop or lollygag is up to you. I tell people it takes 2-4 hours, but I really have no clue how long it will take you.
I keep track of the waters height watching the n.o.a.a website for Zumbro Falls. If it says the river is at 9 feet, the water is running about 2 hours from Hammond to Millville on a tube. 8 feet, 2&1/2 hours. 7 feet, 3 hours. Under 6 feet, 4-5 hours.
I never know from one day to the next what the river is going to do. So I have no idea how long the ride will take tomorrow or next week. Feel free to ask upon arrival.

How deep is the water?

This question always makes me laugh, because it’s a river. For the most part, this section of the Zumbro River is between one to four feet when it is not flooding. However, there are pockets of water as deep as ten to twelve feet deep
